After 14 weeks in the hospital, a total of 4 surgeries and all of your prayers, our girls are finally home and together! Jesus has been so faithful to what He promised Ferris and I at the beginning of this process, and we give Him all the glory for the outcome. I will post some pics later, but right now I have twin girls to take care of. I feel like a real dad now!
We had an electronica worship set this morning which was really fun and also ended up being very powerful. I think God is honored when we try new things instead of getting stuck in the routine of what is comfortable. We did two of our church's favorite songs in a fresh way and it ended up being great. Props to Aaron Robertson for dropping some beats and doing all of the programming.
This has been the best and hardest three months of my life, and this date marks a huge milestone and testimony of God's faithfulness.
92 days of miracles, ups and downs, hospital food, answered prayers and wonderful moments I will never forget. I never knew I could love anyone the way I love Liana and Adleigh. They are such a precious gift.
Thank you Jesus for these three months and all the years that are to come.
God has blessed us with some awesome new players at Elevation recently. Three guys that have just started playing with us are in a band called Public Radio. I went to their show tonight and it was pretty sick. You should definitely check them out.
Big news! Liana came off oxygen yesterday and Adleigh is eating. In fact, the nurse practitioner said if everything goes well this week Adleigh could come home this weekend! Those are words we have waited three months to hear, and I still can't believe that it is finally a real possibility.
God really rocked my world with this news. When we found out about Adleigh's surgery, we thought there was no way that she would be able to come home by her due date (Sept. 18). This is the date we have prayed for as the goal to get our girls home. Well, it now looks very likely that Adleigh will be home close to that date. Nothing is impossible with God!
The only thing holding Liana back is her bradys when she has reflux, but these incidents are decreasing in frequency. She has to make it 7 days without bradys before she can come home, so pray that her reflux will be healed and she can get home where she belongs!
