The highlight for Sunday was definitely when Pastor Steven showed up at the 10 AM worship experience at Providence and the 11:15 at Butler to lead worship on How Great Is Our God. He had the weekend off because Clayton King was preaching, so Pastor had the chance to lead worship again at Elevation. It is definitely true that the lead pastor of the church is also the lead worship leader, and I believe the main reason we have the culture of worship that we do at Elevation is the example that Pastor Steven has set. The choir was back also so it turned out to be a very powerful time of worship yesterday.

We went Southern Gospel with I'll Fly Away and it was so much fun. We had three part harmony, upright bass and flatpicking guitar. Our band and singers are so versatile and did a fantastic job. It really looked like the old school special music in my church growing up. You should have seen our people try to clap on beat with this one, though. Hilarious.

We mixed the old with the new this week at Elevation. We had a choir at both campuses made up of our own people, brought in a Hammond B3 and even had a pulpit and stained glass windows on stage.

I had the best time singing with our choir. I only led one song yesterday, but my voice was shot by the end of the day from singing out with them. They rocked! Hopefully I will get some pictures up later today.

I've got to give props to everyone in our Creative Department who did the set design for this series. It was the biggest wow factor I have seen in terms of just walking in the auditorium and being blown away by the way things look. It's times like yesterday that I can't believe we are a portable church.
