Tonight was one of the hardest nights in awhile for me. You can get most of the details at Ferris' blog, but here is what I was there for. I walked into the nursery around 5:45 to see about 5 nurses around Adleigh's incubator. Apparently she was having some apnea spells after being off the vent and on the bubble CPAP. They had to bag her twice, which is when they manually use this pump to get her to start breathing. They gave her a new CPAP to see if that would help. We basically just watched her for the rest of the night. They aren't really sure why she is having these issues and definitely don't want to have to put her back on the ventilator, so please pray that Adleigh does well during the night on her CPAP.
I have been reading your wife's blog, and wanted to leave you a quick comment. My son has been in the NICU now for 8 weeks and I understand some of what you and your family are going through. I have been praying for you since I first heard your story and I have some friends that go to elevation, Matt and Amanda and Owen Uher. They were sharing some of it with me and then I decided to start reading your wife's blog.
I have been praying for you daily! Hang in there and know you are not alone!

My boy was in hospital on monday night for something pretty minor in the end, Croop ( a tightening of the airways, restricting breathing). Easily treated, but it gave me a new perspective on seeing your child in a state beyond you ability to physically help.
I'll keep praying for you all.

wade, just wanted to pass along our prayers to you. my wife and son and i lift your girls and your family up in prayer each night. my son zachary is 15 months old now, but spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the NICU after being born at 26 weeks. there are so many ups and downs in the journey of being the parent of a preemie, but know that you and your girls are being surrounded in prayer by literally thousands of friends and strangers alike.
when i was in seminary i heard a lot about how God is most fully revealed in Jesus suffering and death on the cross. that never made sense to me until i experienced the presence of Christ with me and my wife in our own struggles and suffering while we praying for our own miracles in the NICU. we amazing gift to know that the creator of the universe loves us enough that he is willing to enter into our suffering and weep with us. we are forever changed by the experience.
we are praying for strength and endurance and healing and wholeness for you, your wife and your beautiful little girls.
Peace be with You!

"I don't want to give the impression on this blog that walking through this process is easy just because we are trusting in God."
Thanks for giving the honest story about what it's like to be a Christian in the midst of struggle.
I'm still praying for your girls.

Dear Wade,
We have been praying for you, Ferris, Lianna and Adleigh and have been following both of your blogs so we can pray specifically.
God is powerful and amazing. His love strengthens us in our weakest moments. Your faith and perserverance is an inspiration. You will continue to be in our prayers. We love you all.
