Great News

We got great news about Adleigh today. The doctors had been very concerned about her stomach the last two days and had surgeons look at it today to make sure there were no obstructions. We got the results back and everything looked great. We are so thankful that she doesn't have to have a major surgery to fix this. Thank you Jesus! 

Twin Update

It has been awhile since I have given an update on the girls. Both of them are doing great and we are praying hard that they can come home within the next few weeks. It is hard to believe that they turned 10 weeks old today! 

Please pray for these specific things with us:

-That Liana would do better with her bottles and stop having reflux. This is causing her to still have bradies and we want this to pass without her needing medicine.

-For Liana to get off of her oxygen soon.

-For Adleigh to readjust to eating so that she can get to full feeds again.

If they can overcome these last few challenges they will be on their way home. We are extremely thankful for the progress they are making. I love them both so much and am more than ready for our hospital days to be over!

So Much To Do

So much to do tonight as I wrap up some loose ends to get ready for a huge weekend at church. Good thing I just downloaded the new "secret" Bloc Party disc that just came out to keep me going.

By the way, because Adleigh was sick I didn't get to hold her for almost two weeks. Tonight I finally got to hold her for a good 30 minutes and it was awesome! She smiled and loved hearing her daddy sing to her. At least that is what I like to tell myself. I love my girls!

Healer

This news hit me hard today. 

I am thankful that Jesus is full of grace and mercy and pray that He will be near Mike during this time.

I am also grateful that every lyric in this song is true and powerful regardless of who wrote it. I really believe the song is anointed and the Lord has definitely used it in my life during this time with our girls.

Nothing is impossible for our God who completely heals and restores.

Great Day!

3 reasons why today was such a great day!

-Adleigh got off the vent and back on the nasal cannula!

-Church today was amazing! It was literally one of the most powerful worship experiences I have ever been a part of. We did our version of the cardboard testimony video that has been online a lot lately. It was incredible to see the story of our church as people were very honest about who they were before Christ, and how they have been radically changed by His grace. 

-Tonight we had a preview service at McGlohon and the place was full of energy. I was jumping around so much at the end of the service that I almost knocked my guitar over on its stand. Seriously, you need to be at the launch of Elevation Uptown next week. It's hard to believe that today was our last Sunday with only 2 campuses!

Update

The surgery went really well and Adleigh is just chillin enjoying the pain meds. If it is anything like her last surgery, she will be out for awhile. Thanks for your prayers!

Surgery

It looks more and more like Adleigh has pneumonia. Her x-rays showed a lot of junk in her lungs, and they suction a lot out from her vent tube. She has been more active last night and today and is taking more breaths on her own with the vent, so it does look like she is feeling better.

The big news is they are probably doing surgery on her today. They tried a 4th time to get a long term IV in and couldn't do it, so today they will surgically put a line in. Please pray that the surgery will go smoothly and that there will be no complications. Also, pray that God heals Adleigh of her sickness so she can get off the vent.

Liana is doing great. We actually had a doctor tell us yesterday that even they aren't supposed to use the word miracle, the fact that Liana didn't have to get a shunt put in because of her brain bleed was definitely a miracle. It was awesome to hear that God has already gotten glory through our girls.
