Great Report

The Lord answered our prayers today in a huge way. Adleigh's surgery went very well and they were able to reattach her intestines. No ostomy bag was needed! Thank you Jesus! This was definitely an answer to prayer because most babies have to have the bag and a second surgery. Apparently, so much stuff was backed up that her small intestine had stretched to the size of her large intestine. It is a miracle that it didn't rupture. It is awesome to see how much all of the nurses have grown to love Adleigh because they were all rooting for her and super excited when they found out things went so well. In fact, I heard one say to another as they walked away ..." See, good things do happen in here." 

Liana made a step forward today by going from 4 liters to 0.5 liters on her oxygen and starting reflux medicine. This should help her finally get over her bradys and get on all bottle feeds. Her brain scan today also showed that everything is still progressing the way it should. The doctor even prayed with us for Liana's brain to be healed.

Today was such a good day. Now let's get these girls home!

I am so glad to hear that things are progressing so well for your family and the twins. My husband and I came to the backstage tour at elevation a few weeks ago and we were looking at blogs from the church, we came across yours and your wife's and we have been praying for your family ever since. My niece was in the nicu for over 3 months and it can be exhausting, but they are well taken care of. We are also expecting on New Years day and it's a girl!
