I went on the Mt. Horeb men's retreat this past weekend. Last week had been extremely busy, and it was nice to get away and recharge. I was encouraged by the conversations I had, and the fact that there are so many godly men who are seeking Christ with all of their hearts at our church. The Lord also saw fit to humble me greatly on our mountain bike excursion on Saturday. I was the beginner of the group, and the other guys were very patient with me. We went 12 miles and rode for over two hours straight. I thought I was in decent shape before this experience, but I left feeling like a wimp. I also left very sore after numerous picture perfect falls, crashes into random trees, and one amazing forward flip over the handle bars. They tried to make me feel better by saying it was the equivalent of someone who has never skied before going down a black diamond. Even if that's not true, I will choose to believe it. I did enjoy the sport, and look forward to doing it again soon. And yes, I did wear the spandex bicycle shorts. Not a pretty picture.
I will be more regular with my posts this week. God is teaching me so much and stretching me in big ways, and I look forward to sharing some of that. In the meantime, here are the worship sets from Sunday.
